Originally from Victoria, Dr. Weinerman is pleased to be back in the city where she grew up, surrounded by the natural beauty and community that first inspired herlove of animals. After spending time in the prairies and graduating from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, returning to the island is a welcome change of pace for her – where she can spend time with her family and reconnect with old friends.
She enjoys staying active and spending time outside, whether that means hiking local trails, puttering around the garden, going backcountry camping, or just cycling to get from place to place. When not outdoors, she loves to unwind at home with a bit of baking and keeping her senior cat, Triple, company. He has been with her through many chapters of her life, and she cherishes the quiet moments she can spend with him.
Dr. Weinerman’s veterinary interests at this point in time include surgery, ultrasonography, furry and scaly exotic medicine, and contextualized care. What is best for pets is directly linked to what is best for their families, so she strives to meet with families where they are and provide open communication to facilitate medical decision making.
She can’t wait to spend time with your animal pals and help keep their tails wagging and spirits high!
