Karinn grew up in Grande Prairie, Alberta. She completed her undergraduate degree at the university of Calgary. She then moved to Saskatoon to obtain her degree in veterinary medicine. She graduated in 2017 and moved back home to start working as a mixed animal veterinarian. After 3 years of working through cold winters and late night calving calls she jumped at the opportunity to move to the beautiful Vancouver island when her fiancé was offered a job out here. Karinn’s favourite part about being a veterinarian is getting to hear about and witness the special bond between her clients and their pets. She enjoys most aspects of veterinary medicine but has keen interest in behaviour and internal medicine. Since moving to the island, she has spent most of her free time out hiking, kayaking and exploring with her two dogs. She also has two cats named Chicken and Nuggets, who naturally, rule over her household.
